Over 260 families displaced to Bamyan from the two districts in Ghazni province, local officials in Bamyan province said Tuesday.

Ahmad Reza Raf’at, the head of provincial counter-incidents department said at a press conference that over 260 families from Jaghori and Malistan districts of Ghazni were displaced to Bamyan province, and are in need of humanitarian assistance and cooperation.

Mr Raf’at emphasized that the local Bamyan government is trying to address the problems of the displaced people, but the number of displaced people is increasing over time.
According to some local sources, the residents of Bamyan province have welcomed the displaced people and gave them places.

Meanwhile, an urgent session has been held Tuesday in Bamyan province to address the problems of displaced people.
“the meeting decided to carry out the assistance and cooperation in coordination with the public staff. All organizations should hand over their aids to the tasked committee in order to give them to the displace people,” said a statement released by the provincial office.
“the public health department is tasked to address the health affairs of the displaced people,” he statement added.

Taliban group has launched a massive attack on Jaghori and Malistan districts f central Ghazni province since last week. A number of military personnel and civilians were killed and hundreds of people were forced to leave their houses.
