Ata M. Noor commands operation in Chimtal


Saturday morning, Balkh governor with a group of MPs and Balkh’s provincial council representatives went to Chimtal district to cooperate with the defenders, as threats increased by the scaremongers.
“Balkh governor Ata M. Noor and a group of parliament and Balkh’s provincial council representatives went to the battlefield in Chimtal district this morning,” Balkh governor’s spokesman Munir Ahmad Farhad told DID news agency.
It is noteworthy that Police commander, Balkh’s national security chief, and other military commanders had gone to Chimtal district.
“Plan to implement early operation led by Mr. Noor began and soon a sweeping operation will commence in the area,” Farhad added.
Meanwhile, Taliban took the control of several villages and security post around Chimtal district in the recent days. Hundreds of families whose houses are under threat left their homes, seeking refuge in Mazar-e Sharif and other areas of Balkh province.
