Kabul Blasts Casualties Reach 19 killed, 50 wounded

At least 19 were killed and 50 more were wounded as twin explosions rocked Sardar Daud Khan’s 400-bed hospital in Kabul, say Taliban officials.

Two back-to-back explosions occurred near Sardar Daud Khan 400-bed hospital on Tuesday afternoon, killing at least 19 and wounded 50 others, said the deputy Taliban spokesman Belal Karimi.

Eyewitnesses said the explosions took place near the 400-bed hospital, adding that they heard gunfires from the scene as well.
Belal Karimi said the first explosion occurred at the entrance and the second one near the military hospital.

The Taliban’s Interior Ministry spokesman Saeed Khosti said that the blasts have casualties, but did not specify the number.
“The blast has casualties and the details will be released soon,” he said, adding that the special forces have already been deployed.
No one immediately claimed responsibility.
