Large handicraft exhibition opened in Bamyan


A large handicraft exhibition was opened in Bamyan’s park, attended by the local authorities in the province.
According to (DID) news agency report, the exhibition was launched by a large number of women, displaying a variety of local products and their handicrafts.
But these workers are complaining about the lack of attention from the local administration and central government, and say: we have not had a central place to sell our products for years; lack of facilities such as electricity, shops, and water are the problems that we face.
Zaynab Hussaini, one of the industrialist women in Bamyan province says: “every year a large number of women cultivate vegetables from 2 to 3 acres of land in Bamyan province and sell them in the markets of the province.”
Roqayya, a woman who has a chips factory says: “I sell nearly 1000 packet of chips daily and have hired up to 15 women.”
