National Resistance Council Expresses Concerns over Afghanistan’s Isolation in Open Letter to MSC

DID Press: In an open letter to the Munich Security Conference (MSC), National Resistance Council for the Salvation of Afghanistan expressed concerns over Afghanistan’s isolation, considering the current status of the country a result of miscalculation by the previous government and the international community.

“Afghanistan was handed over to the Taliban group in an organised manner on August 15, 2021, and the system was overthrown and the governance process was also shut,” said the Council in its letter on 18 February 2023 to the MSC.
The National Resistance Council for the Salvation of Afghanistan expressed concerns regarding the security situation of Afghanistan as well.
“The terrorist groups like Al-Qaeda, Daesh, Jundullah, Ansarullah, Lashkar-e Taiba, Tehreek-e Taliban Pakistan, extremist groups affiliated with the terrorist circles of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, China, Bangladesh, some Arab and African countries are present and active in Afghanistan,” read the letter.

In another part of the letter, the National Resistance Council for the Salvation of Afghanistan urged the international community to end the existing optimistic interaction; as the elapse of eighteen months has proved that the situation is getting worse every day.
