NSA Mohib Meets Pakistani Envoy in Kabul: ONSC

Afghan National Security Adviser Hamdullah Mohib met Tuesday with Pakistani ambassador Zahid Nasrullah in Kabul, the office of national security council (ONSC) said in a statement.

“They discussed regional cooperation on counter-terrorism, Afghan peace process and President Muhammad Ashraf Ghani’s upcoming state visit to Pakistan on the invitation of PM Imran Khan,” the statement read.

Earlier this week, president Ghani had a telephone conversation with Pakistani PM Imran Khan, in which, they discussed bilateral relations and the peace process.
“I agree with the economic-centered thoughts of the Afghan president and this issue needs to be reviewed by the expert delegation of the two countries,” PM Khan said during the conversation.

According to NSA Mohib, “this trip could be an opportunity to where we can build a positive momentum which is good for both countries”.
Mr Mohib also exchanged views on various issues including mutual trade relation and health services with the Pakistani ambassador.
