President M. Ashraf Ghani, at the head of a high level delegation, arrived on Thursday morning in Maimana city, capital of Faryab province, Arg said in a statement.

“President Ashraf Ghani will visit victims of the recent flooding in the province, and oversee flood relief efforts. Besides, he will meet with various groups of locals and officials in Faryab,” said the statement.

The purpose of Ashraf Ghani’s visit to Faryab was said to review the security situation and local governance.
