Local officials in Surobi district of capital Kabul said Tuesday that as a result of an IED blast, 5 civilians were killed and 11 more were wounded on Tuesday morning.
“The incident took place at 11 am in Jagdalak village,” said Gawhar Baburi, the district governor of Surobi district.
He added that the Taliban had laden the explosive to target the security forces, but civilians were killed and injured.
According to him, the injured were transferred to the hospitals.
No group or individual claimed responsibility.
