16 new Covid-19 cases surfaced in Afghanistan

The Ministry of Public Health announced that 16 new positive coronavirus cases have been registered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number to 38,129 in Afghanistan.

In the past 24 hours, 275 suspicious Covid-19 cases were tested in the laboratories, in which, 16 cases turned out positive, the Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

The new cases have been reported in Kabul, Balkh, Nangarhar, Takhar, Baghlan and Kunduz provinces.
According to the Ministry, 9 patients have been recovered in the country, bringing the total number of recoveries to 29,037 while the total number of deaths has reached 1,401 so far.
