Three UN Conditions for Handing Over Afghanistan’s Seat to the Taliban
DIDPress: The United Nations, as part of a political plan with mutual conditions, is considering transferring Afghanistan’s seat to the Taliban.

Diplomatic sources have reported that the UN is in consultations to assign Afghanistan’s seat to Suhail Shaheen, the Taliban’s proposed representative.
These negotiations are part of a broader political plan aimed at normalizing relations between the international community and the current Afghan government.
Under this plan, the UN has set three main conditions for accepting the Taliban’s representative: the formation of an inclusive government, countering terrorist threats, and upholding human rights.
In return, the Taliban has put forward three key demands, including official recognition, the lifting of sanctions, and the release of Afghanistan’s frozen assets.
Reports indicate that the plan has not yet faced significant opposition from the Taliban or other Afghan political factions, and the dialogue process is progressing.
If the agreement is finalized, Suhail Shaheen may be accepted as Afghanistan’s official representative to the United Nations.
