Asian Development Bank Expands Activities in Afghanistan
DIDPress: The Asian Development Bank and Japan have emphasized their continued economic cooperation with Afghanistan.

Sultan Mohammad Zubair, Deputy Minister of Finance of Afghanistan, held an official meeting with Takayoshi Kuromiya, Japan’s Ambassador to Kabul, and David J. Hill, the Asian Development Bank’s Country Director for Afghanistan, to discuss the expansion of economic cooperation.
During the meeting, the Asian Development Bank’s Country Director and the Japanese Ambassador reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing joint economic activities in Afghanistan and expressed their readiness for comprehensive cooperation with the country’s Ministry of Finance.
According to officials of the interim government of Afghanistan, the focus of this cooperation will be on strengthening economic infrastructure, promoting sustainable development, and supporting infrastructure projects in key sectors such as energy, transportation, and public services.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue discussions and coordination for the initiation of new projects and the monitoring of ongoing ones.
