$50 Million Investment for Vehicle Production Line in Afghanistan

DIDPress: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the caretaker government announced that the Chinese automaker Dongfeng Eddy Motors expressed its interest in investing $50 million to establish a vehicle production line during a meeting with Mawlawi Ahmadullah Zahed, the deputy minister.

According to ministry officials, a representative of Dongfeng Eddy Motors stated that the company plans to invest $50 million in this sector over three and a half years.

This investment is expected to enable the production of 2,000 vehicles annually.

The company also indicated its intention to offer vehicles to Afghan customers on an installment payment basis.

Meanwhile, the deputy minister assured that cooperation will be extended to foreign investors in Afghanistan, with all necessary facilities provided to support their endeavors.
