Pakistan: Suicide Bombers Trained in Afghanistan Sold to Militant Groups
DIDPress: Pakistani media reported that Mohammad Sadiq, Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, has publicly revealed that suicide bombers are trained in camps established inside Afghanistan and then “sold” to various militant groups.

Mohammad Sadiq, Special Adviser to the Prime Minister and Special Representative for Afghanistan, stated that the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has created a significant challenge within Afghanistan, continuing to endanger Pakistan-Afghanistan relations.
He made these remarks during a seminar organized by the Institute of Regional Studies (IRS) on Tuesday, May 6, in Pakistan.
Sadiq emphasized that TTP members have not only joined groups like the Islamic State-Khorasan (ISIS-K) and other jihadist organizations but are also operating with considerable freedom inside Afghanistan.
However, he noted that after Operation Zarb-e-Azb, there was an opportune moment to completely dismantle the TTP network.
According to Sadiq, some militants crossed the border, while others turned into sleeper cells within Pakistan.
Sadiq revealed that even the previous Afghan government considered the TTP a potential threat and took repressive actions against them.
He expressed disappointment with the current Taliban government in Kabul, stating that Afghan soil is being used for terrorist activities against Pakistan, but Pakistan’s concerns about terrorist safe havens have not been adequately addressed.
He said, “The TTP remains active, and its armed forces have not relented in their efforts to destabilize Pakistan.”
Sadiq also pointed out that during the years of conflict, the TTP provided the Afghan Taliban with suicide bombers, financial support, intelligence, and weapons.
Sadiq warned that the interim Afghan government is concerned that if action is taken against the TTP, the group might align itself with ISIS-K.
