China Backs up Improved Relations Between Kabul-Islamabad
DIDPress: China supports improvement of relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan through dialogue and economic development, announced Chinese Foreign Ministry.

The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs vowed Beijing is ready to play an active role in improving relations between Kabul and Islamabad.
According to the ministry’s statement, a trilateral meeting with the foreign ministers of China, Afghanistan, and Pakistan is set to take place soon in Kabul.
In the meeting, the parties are expected to reach a preliminary agreement on resuming diplomatic relations and sending ambassadors to each other’s capitals.
Additionally, the three countries have agreed to extend cooperation within the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) to Afghanistan.
China has underlined that the reconstruction and development of Afghanistan can only be achieved through regional cooperation and stability, and it is ready to provide necessary assistance to both countries in this regard.
Relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan have been tense in recent months due to Islamabad’s strict policies toward Afghanistan migrants.
Since November 2023, the Pakistani government has begun the forced repatriation of illegal Afghan migrants, announcing plans to deport approximately three million of them by 2025.
