Taliban: Afghanistan’s Independence Non-Negotiable

DIDPress: Taliban government’s Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Mohammad Younus Akhundzada, vowed that preserving Afghanistan’s independence is a red line, denying rumors of internal divisions within the leadership.

“There is no internal disagreement or split among the interim government’s leadership,” underlined Akhundzada in his latest remarks.

“The Taliban are united and like-minded in all decision-making processes, dismissing rumors of internal disputes as baseless and fabricated by opponents,” he added.

Akhundzada also underscored that the Taliban government views Afghanistan’s independence as a non-negotiable principle and will never sacrifice national interests for foreign relations or concessions.

“We seek friendly and constructive relations with regional and global countries, but these relations must be based on mutual respect and non-interference in internal affairs. No country can expect us to trade away our independence,” he said.
