Afghan interim Government Appoints New Ambassador to Russia
DIDPress: The Foreign Ministry of Afghanistan Interim Government appointed Mawlawi Gul Hassan as its new representative to the Russian Federation.

The caretaker Government’s embassy in Moscow told TASS news agency that Mawlawi Gul Hassan will travel to Russia after obtaining an official visa and will assume the leadership of the embassy.
According to reports, Gul Hassan was previously a member of the Quetta Shura, the Taliban’s leadership council based in Pakistan, and is considered a prominent figure within the group’s political structure.
Meanwhile, the diplomatic relations between Islamabad and Kabul have recently been strengthened, with the envoy in Kabul being elevated from chargé d’affaires to ambassador level.
