DIDPress: During his visit to the United States, leader of Pakistan’s People’s Party (PPP) criticized the manner of the U.S. military withdrawal from Afghanistan, warning of the threats posed by abandoned military equipment in the country.

The PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who recently arrived in Washington, told reporters that America’s rushed and poorly planned exit from Afghanistan has had dangerous consequences not only for Afghanistan but for the entire region, particularly Pakistan.
Highlighting the significant amount of U.S. military equipment left behind in Afghanistan, he stressed that these weapons have now fallen into the hands of extremist and terrorist groups, posing a direct threat to Pakistan’s national security.
He would raise this issue seriously in his meetings with U.S. officials and demand action to address the fallout of the security crisis, Zardari added.
According to him, security cooperation between Washington and Islamabad is now more critical than ever under the current circumstances.
