Notable Reactions from Social Media Users to Israeli-Iran Attacks

DIDPress: Some social media users have reacted following Israeli regime’s aggressive attacks against Iran and Tehran’s retaliatory strikes, targeting Israeli sites.

One user on his social platform X discussed the multiple objectives of the Zionist regime, saying that Israel may have specific goals behind its actions.

“Israel may have multiple objectives from its illegal attack on Iran, but one goal is crystal clear: to divert attention from the ongoing genocide, imposed hunger, and complete humanitarian disaster in Gaza, and to regain control of the narrative that it is losing in the capitals of its traditional allies,” he wrote.

A university professor reflected on the fears of war and the transition to a multipolar era, noting that in the unipolar period, wars happened to distant countries.

Referring to the bombing of Tel Aviv by Iran, the professor added, “People tend to forget the terrors of war, and every generation must relearn how to have a healthy fear of war. In the unipolar era, war happened to distant countries, was presented like a video game, and sold to public as a defense of freedom.”

“But now that we are entering a multipolar era, our recklessness will have consequences. War will return to Western countries as well. Three decades of unchecked power, eagerness for war, and ideological slogans alongside liberal hegemony will make relearning the real terror of war difficult,” he further underlined.

A German user mockingly responded to statements by a senior German official, saying that he is unaware of the law and that someone needs to explain it to him.

Addressing the official, the user wrote, “Has anyone told you, sir, that ‘targeted attacks against nuclear facilities’ are prohibited under Article 56 of the Additional Protocol to the Geneva Conventions—of which Germany is a member? Also, the use of force in international relations is generally prohibited under Article 2(4) of the UN Charter, except in cases of self-defense against an armed attack or with Security Council authorization for collective action to maintain international peace and security.”
