Domestic Tourists Visiting Herat Increased Significantly
DIDPress: Over the past week, coinciding with the Eid al-Adha holidays, about 15,000 domestic tourists have visited Herat’s historical and cultural sites.

Herat Information and Culture Department reported that during Eid al-Adha, a large number of domestic tourists traveled to the province and visited its historical monuments and cultural attraction sites.
Most tourists visited the Ekhtiyarluddin Citadel, the National Museum, the Great Mosque of Herat, the Jihad Museum, and the historic minarets, said Mawlavi Ahmadullah Muttaqi, head of Herat’s Information and Culture Department.
He described the enthusiastic turnout as a sign of growing public interest in the country’s historical heritage, adding that improved security conditions in recent years have paved the way for the growth of Herat’s tourism industry.
