Poll: Public Perspectives on Potential Iran–Israel War

Amid escalating tensions between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Israeli regime—as well as growing concerns about a full-scale regional war—DID Press News Agency conducted a social media-based poll to gauge public opinion on the key factor that could shape the outcome of such a conflict.

According to the results, based on responses from dozens of participants:

•  76% identified the unity and will of Muslim nations as the decisive factor in determining the final outcome of a potential war between Iran and Israel. This significant figure reflects high confidence in the power of Islamic solidarity in the face of aggression and occupation.

•  13% cited the military capabilities of the Axis of Resistance as the most critical element in shaping the course of the conflict. Respondents in this group pointed to the influence of armed actors such as Hezbollah in Lebanon, Ansarullah in Yemen, Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), and other resistance groups as pivotal on the battlefield.

•  11% believed the positions of global powers like China and Russia would play a decisive role in maintaining or shifting the balance of power in such a scenario. These participants emphasized the strategic influence of major geopolitical players in either preventing or intensifying the crisis.

Notably, none of the respondents identified Western intervention as a determining factor in this potential war. This result suggests a notable decline in public trust in the West’s ability—or willingness—to play a constructive or decisive role in regional affairs.

Analysis of the Results
The findings indicate that a clear majority of respondents see the fate of any future conflict as being determined within the region itself—by its peoples and resistance movements—rather than by outside powers. Faith in Islamic unity, distrust of the West, and recognition of resistance forces form the three core pillars of public perception in the face of the unfolding crisis.
As the Israeli regime seeks to expand the scope of the conflict and internationalize it, this popular perspective may serve as a foundation for shaping the strategic orientations of regional media and governments.
