DIDPress: Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai strongly criticized U.S. military strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, calling such actions a violation of the United Nations Charter and a serious threat to international peace and security.

In a message shared on social media, Karzai described any U.S. military assault on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure as being “against the principles of the UN Charter and contrary to the spirit of peace.”
“These types of attacks will only lead to the expansion of conflict in the region and will have dangerous repercussions for global peace and security,” he warned, expressing deep concern over the possible consequences of such actions.
Karzai stressed the need for all nations – especially the permanent members of the UN Security Council – to honor their obligations under the UN Charter, the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), and international law.
He further noted that the use of force in international affairs, particularly by major powers, does not resolve conflicts but rather intensifies tensions and undermines both regional and global security.
