Taliban: Arab States Display Double Standards Over Airstrikes

DIDPress: A media official from Afghan Taliban’s caretaker government strongly criticized the stance of several Arab countries regarding Iran’s recent airstrikes on U.S bases, accusing them of adopting a double standard in response to violations of their airspace.

Ataullah Mobarez, editor-in-chief of Shariat magazine—affiliated with the Taliban caretaker government—harshly condemned the stance of certain Arab states in light of the recent air operations.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly and clearly declared that its targets were U.S. bases and forces in the region. Yet, some Arab countries are now claiming that their airspace was violated,” he said.

Mobarez pointed to the silence of the same states in the past regarding U.S. aerial activity across the region.

“When American fighter jets flew through Arab airspace to carry out attacks on Iran, not only was there no objection, but they even received support,” he added.

“So why the concern now over Iran’s actions?” he asked.

The Taliban media official stressed that the “double standards” shown by certain Arab countries undermine the credibility of their claims and contribute to growing distrust across the region.
