US Failure in Iran; Trump’s Fury at CNN and New York Times

DIDPress: Following publication of U.S. intelligence assessments by CNN and New York Times suggesting that Iran’s nuclear facilities remain intact, U.S. President Donald Trump reacted sharply.

Donald Trump, in a heated reaction to the reports from CNN and The New York Times, reiterated that Iran’s nuclear facilities were “obliterated” in U.S. strikes.

Trump accused CNN and The New York Times of attempting to demean what he called “one of the most successful military operations in history.”

“The nuclear sites in Iran are completely destroyed! Both the Times and CNN are getting slammed by the public,” Trump wrote on his social media platforms.

Earlier, CNN, citing informed sources, reported that preliminary U.S. intelligence assessments indicated last week’s strikes on three nuclear sites of the Islamic Republic of Iran did not destroy the core components of Tehran’s nuclear program and may have only delayed it by a few months.

Responding to CNN’s report on the intelligence assessment of the failed strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, the White House spokesperson, claimed: “The alleged assessment is completely false.”

The unlawful strikes were carried out while Iran’s nuclear facilities were under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
