Working Sessions Held to Address Journalists’ Challenges in Afghanistan
DIDPress: To address the challenges faced by journalists and to strengthen collaboration between media and the government, Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) has organized meetings in several provinces.

AJSC held discussions in Nimrooz, Samangan, Logar, Laghman, Ghor, Faryab, Maidan Wardak, and Khost provinces, attended by journalists, local officials, and media representatives.
These sessions covered topics such as challenges in journalism, access to information, journalists’ security, the financial difficulties of media outlets, high electricity costs, the need for journalist training, and improved cooperation between the government and the media.
Additional proposals were also discussed such as hiring local spokespersons in government institutions and organizing professional training programs.
