DIDPress: The political representative of the Taliban’s caretaker government in Qatar emphasized the need for monitoring ceasefire agreements in the region, warning that Israel may exploit this opportunity to escalate its aggression.

Referring to the recent tensions between Iran and Israel, Suhail Shaheen, the political representative of the Taliban’s caretaker government in Qatar, said: “The proposed ceasefire between Tehran and Tel Aviv is a positive step, but it must be ensured that Israel does not use this opportunity to reignite conflict.”
He stressed that any misuse of the ceasefire environment could have serious consequences for regional security.
“If the nuclear issue was a real concern, it should have been resolved through dialogue from the outset,” added Shaheen, criticizing the double standards in addressing nuclear programs.
“Israel possesses nuclear weapons, but it should not have them at all, as they pose a threat to the countries in the region,” he said, warning about Israel’s nuclear arsenal.
