Daily Fuel Imports from Iran to Afghanistan Reach 3,000 Tons
DIDPress: Following recent ceasefire between Iran and Israel, fuel imports from Iran to Afghanistan have resumed, gradually restoring cross-border trade to normal levels.

Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment confirmed the development, saying that cross-border trade between the two countries is now returning to its usual state.
According to chamber officials, around 3,000 tons of petroleum products, including 1,500 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and 1,500 tons of diesel and petrol, are being imported daily into Afghanistan through the Dogharon and Nimruz border crossings.
This comes after fuel exports from Iran to Afghanistan were completely halted during the recent hostilities—a situation that had raised concerns about domestic fuel shortages and price surges.
Meanwhile, global markets have also reacted to recent developments. According to Reuters, the global crude oil price has dropped by about 13 dollars per barrel and is currently trading at around 67 dollars.
However, Afghan citizens say retail fuel prices in domestic markets remain high and have not seen a significant decline.
