Survey Report – The ban on the publication of live images is an ideological and restrictive decision

Following the Taliban government’s ban on local media, which has recently covered more provinces, Did News Agency conducted an online survey among its audience. The results of the survey show different views of citizens on the motives and consequences of this restrictive decision.

According to the survey findings:
Forty-six percent of participants considered the move an ideological move based on a particular religious interpretation. The group says the ban is more a reflection of a particular religious attitude on which the Taliban make decisions.

Thirty-six percent also considered it an unreasonable restriction and against media freedom. They believe that such a decision undermines media freedom and violates the principles of transparency and free access to information.

Eighteen percent of respondents said the decision was an attempt to control media and social content; The measure aims to reduce the diversity of media content and impose stricter controls on the flow of information.

Meanwhile, none of the respondents (0%) justified the decision within the framework of cultural values. This shows that the cultural legitimacy of the Taliban’s decision is not accepted, at least from the perspective of the survey’s audience.

Conclusion
The poll shows that the majority of respondents see the Taliban’s decision as either an ideological interpretation of religion or a restriction on media freedom. Overall, the Taliban’s move has met with widespread public opposition, with many seeing it as contrary to the process of free and transparent information in society.
