DID Press: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, in a statement, emphasized that terrorism from Afghanistan soil is the biggest threat to Pakistan’s national security.

Pakistan’s deputy PM and FM, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, said in a press conference that the threat of terrorism from Afghanistan soil is a reality and is considered the biggest danger to Pakistan’s security.
Islamabad wants a stable, inclusive and independent Afghanistan and only expects the country’s soil will not be used for terrorist acts against any country, including Pakistan, he emphasized.
Referring to the historical and cultural relations between the two countries, Ishaq Dar also pointed to the Trans-Afghan Railway project as an example of joint cooperation between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
He underlined that economic and infrastructure cooperation can help strengthen bilateral relations and counter-terrorism.
