Over 300 Israeli university professors urge end to “atrocities” in Gaza

DID Press: In an unprecedented move, more than 300 Israeli university professors issued a statement, demanding an immediate end to “crimes” against civilians in the Gaza Strip.

“We cannot remain indifferent while actions that could lead to a global catastrophe are being carried out in our name,” reads the statement.

The statement, signed by prominent academic figures from Tel Aviv, Hebrew, Jerusalem, Ben-Gurion and other academic centers, reflects the growing divide among Israeli elites over the Zionist regime’s policies toward Palestine.

The professors urged an immediate end to military operations, a return to the diplomatic path, and adherence to the principles of human rights and international law.

The group’s statement comes as international criticism of the Israeli regime’s actions in the Gaza Strip is increasing and calls have intensified for an immediate ceasefire
