Poll Reveals Public Opinion on Global Responsibility for Gaza Humanitarian Crisis

DID Press: With the escalation of the conflict and the continuation of Gaza Strip siege, DID Press conducted an online poll to examine public views on the role and responsibility of the international community for the current humanitarian disaster. The results show the majority of participants consider the international community to be a direct partner in the critical situation in Gaza.

According to the poll data:
70 percent of participants believe that the current situation in Gaza is the result of the international community’s support from the Israeli regime. This view reflects widespread dissatisfaction with the performance of international institutions and Western countries in response to Israel’s aggression and siege of Gaza.

Only 20 percent of voters emphasized the need to apply political and economic pressure to immediately stop the war, which indicates little hope for the effectiveness of traditional diplomacy and official pressure.

Another 10 percent believe that the real solution lies in reaching a political agreement and peace between the parties; A perspective that, although based on foresight, has been less welcomed in the light of the current crisis.

Finally, only 0 percent believe that increasing humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza can play an effective role; this indicates that humanitarian aid without stopping the violence is not a sustainable solution.

These results reveal that public trust in the role of the international community in ending the humanitarian crisis in Gaza has been severely weakened, and many people see international institutions as part of the problem, not the solution.
