Taliban foil trafficking of 6,000 narcotic tablets at Torkham
DID Press: Taliban government’s Ministry of Interior announced it seized thousands of narcotic tablets at the Torkham crossing.

According to a statement released Tuesday, 29 July, the ministry’s border police forces were able to discover and seize a large shipment of prohibited drugs during an inspection at the Torkham border crossing.
The smugglers intended to import 600 packages of “Pregabalin” tablets, totaling about 6,000, from Pakistan to Afghanistan, but with the quick response of the border police, the attempt was thwarted, and the perpetrators were arrested.
