Mullah Hebatullah: People should obey religious scholars and rules

DID Press: Hebatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Taliban’s caretaker government, called on the people to obey the group’s religious scholars and implement the orders issued unconditionally.

According to a statement from Taliban-affiliated organizations, Akhundzada stressed the need to resolve social differences, eliminate hatred and strengthen solidarity in society, and expressed concern over what he called “attempts to weaken the Islamic system.”

The Taliban leader also claimed that during the previous governments, society had suffered from moral deviation and religious values had been weakened.

In response to reports of differences in the Taliban’s ranks, he claimed that there were no gaps, categories or obstacles in the ruling structure; This is despite various domestic and international reports of tensions between Taliban leaders, especially between Kabul and Kandahar
