Poll Reveals Public Support for Arms Embargo on Israel as Key Measure to Back Palestine

DID Press: Following the increasing global support for recognizing an independent Palestinian state, DID Press conducted an online poll, asking its users: “What is the next most important step for the international community to effectively support the Palestinian people?

The results of the poll indicate that the majority of participants consider imposing an arms embargo on the Israeli regime as the most essential action to support the oppressed Palestinian people.

The poll results are as follows:

Arms embargo on Israel: 72%

Diplomatic pressure from the United Nations: 14%

Economic support and Gaza reconstruction: 14%

Referral of Israeli war crimes to international courts: 0%

Political analysts interpret this result as a reflection of the growing global concern over Israel’s ongoing violent actions in the occupied territories and the inefficacy of traditional diplomatic mechanisms to end this situation.

Based on the data from this poll, it appears that public opinion in the region now calls for decisive and deterrent actions from the international community, especially regarding halting military support for Israel. This support has always been a key factor in the continuation of war, occupation, and genocidal crimes by the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip.
