German Green Party: Taliban Regime Should Not Be Recognized
DID Press: Omid Nouripour, Vice President of the German Parliament and a member of the Green Party, has warned that the ongoing process of deporting Afghanistani refugees from Germany, along with the German government’s contacts with the Taliban’s caretaker government, could gradually lead to its recognition.

In a statement, Nouripour referred to a recent flight from Leipzig to Kabul, saying that coordinating such flights in practice means accepting the Taliban, even if this is not declared officially.
He called on the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs to clarify the details of these flights and interactions with the Taliban, emphasizing that this process not only diminishes international trust but also sends the wrong message to the people of Afghanistan.
Nouripour’s remarks come amid widespread criticism from human rights organizations regarding the forced deportation of Afghanistani migrants from European countries, especially Germany
