Indonesia, Afghanistan Seek to Boost Economic Ties

DID Press: Ministry of Economy of the Taliban caretaker government held a high-level meeting with the Embassy of Indonesia in Kabul to discuss avenues for enhanced bilateral economic cooperation.

Acting Minister of Economy, Din Mohammad Hanif, welcomed Indonesia’s interest in Afghanistan markets and assured full readiness to host Indonesian companies.
“This is a key opportunity to support Afghanistan’s economic recovery and job creation through international investment,” he said.

Indonesian Chargé d’Affaires, Nanda Avalist, highlighted ongoing efforts to establish a Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry to facilitate private sector engagement between the two nations.

The meeting marks a step forward in attracting regional partnerships as Indonesia—Southeast Asia’s largest economy—well positioned to contribute to Afghanistan’s development
