Pakistan Urges Taliban to Take Urgent Action Against Cross-Border Attacks
DID Press: A senior official from Pakistan’s Ministry of Interior has called on the Taliban’s caretaker government to take immediate and effective measures to counter the growing wave of border attacks, which have sharply increased in Pakistan’s border provinces.

Talal Chaudhry, Deputy Minister of Interior of Pakistan, expressed deep concern over the rise in terrorist attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan provinces, urging direct cooperation from the Taliban caretaker government to contain these threats.
Due to the intensification of attacks in border areas, Taliban cooperation is both urgent and essential for ensuring security, he added.
“The recent attacks along Pakistan’s borders have resulted in heavy casualties among our security forces, and an effective response to these threats is impossible without Afghanistan’s full political support and the cooperation of neighboring countries,” Chaudhry underlined.
The Pakistani official also noted that ongoing talks between Islamabad’s government and Taliban officials are seeking a way to reduce tensions.
“In the past, we have made great sacrifices for peace in Afghanistan. Now it is time for Afghanistan to seriously fulfill its responsibility for regional security and to confront terrorist groups that use its territory,” Chaudhry stressed.
Pakistan has long accused the Taliban of sheltering the (TTP) and allowing it to operate freely in Afghanistan. Kabul has consistently rejected these allegations, insisting that it does not support any terrorist groups.
Chaudhry further said that more than 90,000 Pakistani citizens have been killed in terrorist attacks to date, and that the continuation of such incidents could threaten not only Pakistan’s internal security but also have negative impacts on regional stability
