Trump: Ukraine War Belongs to Biden, Will Pull  US Out

DID Press: U.S. President Donald Trump reiterated in his recent remarks that he intends to withdraw the United States from the war in Ukraine.

“This war is Biden’s war not mine,” he said. “I am here to get us out of this situation. In the past five months, I have stopped five wars. I would have liked this to be the sixth. Above all else, we are working to end this situation. I finished the others in a matter of days—almost all of them.”

His comments come as the 10-day deadline he had given Russia to agree to a ceasefire has almost expired.

Meanwhile, despite verbal threats and even the deployment of a U.S. nuclear submarine to the region, Trump has stepped back from his earlier aggressive tone, taking a different stance and again stressing that he does not intend to engage in military conflict with Russia.

Regarding the possibility of imposing sanctions on Russia and its trade partners, he said: “We have a meeting tomorrow, and decisions will be made afterward. Let’s see what happens.”

This shift in tone suggests that some of Trump’s threats toward U.S. rivals are more rhetorical warnings than concrete plans to escalate military tensions.
