Poll Finds 67% Back up Establishing Afghanistan Political Mission in Iraq
DID Press: In a latest poll conducted by DID Press regarding the interim government’s priorities for removing obstacles to pilgrimages to the holy shrines, majority of respondents emphasized the need for Afghanistan to establish an active political mission in Iraq.

According to the poll results:
67% of participants considered the establishment of an official and active political mission in Iraq as a crucial step in facilitating pilgrimages to the holy shrines.
33% prioritized regional coordination with Iran and Iraq to ensure easier passage for pilgrims.
None of the participants selected the options of holding official negotiations with Baghdad for special pilgrim facilities or providing financial and service support to low-income pilgrims as their top priority.
These results indicate that, from the respondents’ perspective, Afghanistan’s active political presence in Iraq could play a key role in reducing obstacles faced by pilgrims
