Afghanistan Caretaker Government Vows to Uphold Independence, Islamic Laws

DID Press: Afghanistan’s caretaker government pledged to safeguard the country’s independence and to enforce Islamic laws as its top priorities, said spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid to local media.

Despite financial and logistical constraints, Mujahid said Afghanistan forces had maintained security and resisted internal and external threats. He described the military as well-equipped and committed to Islamic principles.

The spokesman highlighted what he called progress in security, development, and self-sufficiency, and said the government was building a strong foundation for the future.

His comments come as international organizations express concern over human rights and the country’s legal framework; concerns the Taliban administration dismisses as interference in Afghanistan’s internal affairs
