Caretaker Government Urges US to Hand Over Afghanistan’s Embassy in Washington
DID Press: Zabihullah Mujahid, caretaker government spokesman, announced that during direct talks with U.S. officials, they requested the transfer of Afghanistan’s embassy in Washington and the formal recognition of their government.

“We are in regular contact with the United States; their representatives come to Kabul, and our representatives meet them in Qatar and other countries. In these meetings, we have raised the issue of transferring the embassy and granting formal recognition,” said Mujahid, speaking to RTA.
