60% of Lebanese Oppose Disarming Hezbollah
DID Press: The results of a recent survey in Lebanon revealed that 60% of the country’s citizens oppose disarming Hezbollah without a clear defensive strategy.

The opposition is recorded at 96% among Shiites, 50% among Sunnis, 46% among Druze, and 32% among Christians.
In addition, 72% of the population believe that the Lebanese army alone is not capable of confronting an Israeli attack, and 76% believe that diplomacy alone cannot prevent the regime’s assaults.
These results come at a time when a U.S. proposal for disarming Hezbollah has recently been raised within the Lebanese government which has faced public protests.
