Mullah Hebatullah: Islamic Ummah Must Unite for Palestine’s Liberation
DID Press: Taliban supreme leader Mullah Hebatullah Akhundzada has called for unity among Muslims in support of the Palestinian people, coinciding with the fourth anniversary of the US forces withdrawal from Afghanistan.

In a statement, Akhundzada said Muslims should set aside internal divisions and form a united front against occupation. He described the two-decade presence of U.S. troops in Afghanistan as an “illegitimate occupation” and a historic defeat for the United States.
Referring indirectly to the Doha talks and the Trump-era agreement, he argued that past experience shows any future foreign interventions will also fail in the region.
The Taliban leader reaffirmed his opposition to normalization agreements with Israel and urged the Muslim world to mobilize its resources in support of Palestinians, particularly in Gaza.
Akhundzada said the U.S. withdrawal marked the start of a new era of “independence and Islamic strength” for Afghanistan, adding the country is now prepared to contribute to broader issues of the Muslim world, including the Palestinian cause.
