Hanif Urges Japan to Recognize Caretaker Administration
DID Press: Din Mohammad Hanif, Minister of Economy in Afghanistan’s caretaker government, urged Japan to recognize the Taliban-led administration and to invest in the country.

In an interview with Japan’s NHK television, Hanif pointed to Russia’s recent recognition of the Taliban government as a positive precedent, claiming it has yielded both political and economic benefits for Afghanistan.
Kabul expects Moscow to deepen its economic cooperation in the coming months, he added.
Hanif also encouraged Japanese companies to explore business opportunities in Afghanistan, particularly in the mining sector, asserting that improved security has created favorable conditions for foreign investment.
Addressing international concerns over women’s rights, the minister dismissed criticism, insisting that Afghanistan’s traditions and religious values must be respected in shaping social policies.
