Afghanistan, Pakistan, China to Hold Trilateral Meeting Wednesday

DID Press: Kabul will host a one-day meeting of the foreign ministers of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and China on Wednesday, August 20. The discussions will focus on counterterrorism cooperation, peace, development, trade, and the expansion of regional projects, including the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

According to Pakistan’s The Nation newspaper, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and Taliban Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, along with their high-level delegations, will attend the meeting.

Following the conclusion of the Kabul meeting, the Chinese foreign minister will travel to Islamabad to participate in the annual Pakistan-China Strategic Dialogue, scheduled for August 22.
