DID Press: Hamas Islamic movement is still commanding around 20,000 fighters, reported the Atlantic, an American magazine, citing an Israeli official.

In the same report, the Atlantic quoted Nimrod Sheffer, a former general in the Israeli Air Force, as saying: “The strategy in Gaza is to prolong the war. While this approach may serve the interests of Benjamin Netanyahu and the ruling coalition, it benefits no one else.”
The magazine also referenced statements from an Israeli security official who visited camps in the West Bank, noting that settler violence against Palestinians has risen sharply.
According to the report, the number of settler attacks in the West Bank—fewer than 90 incidents per month at the start of 2025—has now surged to over 200 incidents.
