Afghani Strengthens against Foreign Currencies

DID Press: Afghanistan Central Bank announced a 21% increase in the value of Afghani against US Dollar over the past four years.

In a press briefing, Hasibullah Noori, spokesperson for the Central Bank, said that “through the implementation of targeted monetary policies and close oversight of the currency market, we have succeeded in stabilizing the value of the Afghani and preventing its depreciation.”

He further emphasized that this achievement is part of a broader strategy by the Central Bank to expand the financial system, enhance public confidence in the national currency, and strengthen collaboration with international institutions.

The Central Bank also reiterated its commitment to continuing efforts to develop the banking sector, improve access to financial services, and support economic activities nationwide.
