US Envoy to Lebanon Threatens, Insults Journalists

DID Press: Following a meeting with Lebanese President Michel Aoun, Tom Barrett, US Special Envoy for Lebanon, made sharp and offensive remarks against journalists during a press conference.

Reacting to murmurs and interruptions, Barrett warned journalists that he would leave the room if what he described as “disruptive and animalistic” behavior continued.

“If you want to know what has happened, behave civilly, approach with kindness and moderation; because the main problem in today’s regional developments is exactly this,” He added, being critical of the situation.
