Netanyahu Vows to Fulfill his Promises on ‘Greater Israel’
DID Press: Describing his mission to realize the “Greater Israel” vision as “spiritual and historic,” Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated Tuesday his commitment to this goal, saying he intends to fulfill promises.

He made the remarks at a ceremony formalizing the annexation and occupation of 17 Israeli settlements in the West Bank, adding, “We previously said we would build and maintain parts of our country, and today we are doing exactly that.”
Two weeks ago, Netanyahu stirred controversy by outlining the geographic scope of the “Greater Israel” vision, stretching from Egypt’s Nile River to parts of Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia—comments that drew sharp reactions from regional governments.
Political analysts say these statements, along with practical steps in annexing settlements, demonstrate Netanyahu’s determination to pursue expansionist policies despite mounting international and regional pressures on Israel.
