Swiss: Afghanistan’s Security Situation Positive

DID Press: In its first official statement since opening a humanitarian office in capital Kabul, Switzerland described the security situation in Afghanistan as “positive.”

With the formal inauguration of its development and humanitarian cooperation office in Kabul, Swiss government announced its return to Afghanistan.

Eric Marchal, head of the office, said the current conditions suitable for humanitarian activities.

Swiss humanitarian office in Kabul operates under the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and focuses on providing aid to needy people in Afghanistan.

The office currently employed five Swiss staff and ten Afghanistani staff, including three women.
