Poll Finds Economy, Employment as Top Priorities in Caretaker Government’s Five-Year Strategy
In a new poll, DID Press asked about the most important priority of the Taliban caretaker government’s next five-year strategy. The results indicate that the majority consider economic development and employment opportunities as key priorities.

According to the survey data:
60 percent of respondents believe that the government’s main focus should be on boosting investment and employment opportunities to improve people’s livelihoods and reduce poverty.
Another 20 percent prioritized ensuring citizenship rights and civil liberties, stressing the need to respect women’s rights, freedom of expression, and participation of all segments of society.
Another 20 percent consider strengthening internal security and stability as the main axis of the future strategy.
Meanwhile, none of the participants voted for improving international relations and lifting sanctions as the top priority.
These results show that a large segment of society sees solving economic problems and rising employment opportunities as a prerequisite for any progress in other areas. However, issues such as civil rights and security also remain significant on the list of people’s concerns.
